Monday 30 July 2007: On 29th July two Enviro 400s came amiss when they got stuck in some mud at Downhill Sports Complex whilst on the Sunderland Airshow Park and Ride. 19141 escape under its own power. 19145 had to be towed out by MAN 22736. This collection shows what happened.

Volvo B10BLE - Northern Counties

Thursday 5 January 2006: Stagecoach NE have the only 5 NC bodied B10BLE in Stagecoach, numbered 21101 - 21105 they started off in Manchester, then they went to Cambridge, then onwards to Newcastle to join the rest of the B10BLEs in Stagecoach at that time.

Volvo B10BLE - Alexander ALX 300

Thursday 5 January 2006: Stagecoach Busways were the only Stagecoach Company to get Volvo B10BLEs. And they are the only one with B10BLEs with ALX 300 bodywork. However, with the aquistion of Glenvale and Traction Group, Stagecoach NE are no longer the only company with B10BLEs.

Scania N113DRB - Alexander

Sunday 1 January 2006: Busways aquired 10 Double Deck Scania N113s. However the entire batch is no longer in the North East, and are now operatating for Stagecoach Fife. These photos show them running for Stagecoach in Newcastle, where they have been based all the time they were in Stagecoach NE.

Sunday 1 January 2006: There is currently only one Solo with Stagecoach NE. And it isn't owned by them. It is owned by the National Trust and it is used on the Hadrians Wall service AD122, though sometimes it sees use on the Quaylink.

Sunday 1 January 2006: Busways originally brought 10 Leyland Olympians with Northern Counties bodywork, now numbered 14667 - 14676. However 14667 encountered a low bridge in Middlesbrough, and its now a open topper in Grimsby. However the rest are still running with Stagecoach North East at time of Writing.

Sunday 18 December 2005: There are a few Alexander bodied Leyland Olympians left, the originals (C-LFTs) still survive in small numbers in the north east, but many have gone to other Stagecoach fleets as the Leyland Olympian / Alexander was Stagecoach's standard decker. The fleet has been added to with secondhand Olympian built with the RL version of the bodywork, though some have since left the fleet.

Designline Olymbus

Sunday 18 December 2005: The Designline Olymbus was built in New Zealand. It is an Electric Hybrid bus used on Quaylink Service in Newcastle. There are 10 in the whole fleet, the first one arrived in 2004 then numbered 80009 and in the Stagecoach 2000 livery, it is now 61001 in the main fleet, and is in yellow quaylink colours. Also there was a minor bit of confusion when 61005 was numbered as 61001 for road testing.

Dennis Dart SLF - Alexander ALX 200

Sunday 18 December 2005: The batch of LF Darts that were new to Stagecoach Busways has been decimated and are spread throughout Stagecoach (Hull and Kent) however some are still in the North East, mainly at Sunderland and some at Stockton. The main batch were also argumented by a batch of Darts from Oxford.

Sunday 18 December 2005: The Plaxton Darts come in a variety of lengths. (8.5M, 9M and 9.8M), they are spread throughout the North East area. Most of them are new, except the 8.5M are from London, and the 9M example came from Redby.

Sunday 18 December 2005: The Dennis Dart is the main Midibus in the Stagecoach fleet, the vast majority were brought new for the North East. There are some from London and Stagecoach East, though some of the ones from East originated up here, and to put it one way, they have came home. 32735 (L735VNL) was painted in Sunderland Corporation colours for a short period where it was accidently sent to Carlisle.
